Appointments available, save GP appointment time,
AVAILABLE APPOINTMENTS

There is considerable talk in the media about difficulties obtaining GP appointments and this is even more so during holiday periods when more GPS than normal will be on holiday.

Are you frustrated by the difficulty of getting an appointment, the time it takes all the lack of availability.

This link will take you to our website and press the book an appointment to button to see what is available.                 www.revelpharmacy.co.uk       But we recommend you read this article through before using the system.

We try to start each day with 12 appointments available.

At Revel Pharmacy we are able to help. Our trained pharmacists are able to deal with seven common conditions – the pharmacy first service. There is a separate blog article on our website about this service. It is a free NHS service. If you pay for prescriptions you will still have to pay for your prescription.

Using our nationally accredited Pharmacy first service may get you seen and treated more quickly. The whole point of the service is to provide an easily available service and relieve the strain on GP services.

We can also give appointments to check your blood pressure, and we can advise on minor everyday ailments.

People do walk in for the service but that can lead to waiting around so we have introduced an appointment system.

It is important to understand that the government have placed restrictions on the type of patients a pharmacist can treat under the pharmacy 1st Service. There are age limits on treating some of the conditions and certain health problems as well as being pregnant prevent the pharmacist from providing the service to you.

Using our appointment system will guide you through this and generally avoid wasted trips. It is important to recognise that the appointment system we use is to try and make sure that you are not excluded by the government rules from the pharmacy first service. It does not mean that you are not ill or do not need to see a doctor. The idea is that the most complicated and serious cases are dealt with by the GP or hospital service. It only means that at present the pharmacist is not allowed to treat you.

You must follow on to your GP or the hospital if you feel the need for a clinician’s assessment.

Click this link to go to our website,         www.revelpharmacy.co.uk       Press the book an appointment button and it takes you straight into the appointment system.
