Cheap reading glasses may be all you need

If you have never needed glasses to improve your distance vision and now with maturity you need longer arms or reading glasses to be able to comfortably read a book, newspaper, or your phone you do not need expensive reading glasses. You do not need an optician to obtain these.
As you are safe in day-to-day life not requiring distance lenses for instance your eyesight is satisfactory for driving e.g. Being able to read a number plate from 20 metres in daylight.
Reading glasses are only worn for reading. You can try on different strengths and find the strength that gives you good reading and simply use these. This is safe, quick, simple, and cost effective.
We stock a wide range of reading glasses for £5.50. One customer told us that her husband had paid over £140 and was always looking for where he had left the one pair. She tried ours and found some she described as perfect. Her solution 5 pairs, one pair for lounge, kitchen, office, holiday case, and a spare. She was confident she would therefore not have to be looking for where she had left them. First feedback is that her system is working, judging by the fact her husband came in for 3 pairs.
If you need glasses for distance you can try ours, but you would have to only wear for reading. It is highly likely you will need more complex lenses .
